An exciting opportunity has become available in BBC Studios for a Production Management Assistant based in our Aberdeen Office.
The successful candidate will work primarily on BBC Scotland’s hugely successful weekly magazine show Landward. The candidate will also have the likely opportunity to work on other productions when required, and is expected to collaborate with colleagues to support general office duties.

This popular multi-presenter magazine show led by Dougie Vipond is at the cutting edge of rural affairs - essential viewing for rural dwellers, foodies and anyone who enjoys the Scottish countryside. Landward will, as ever, lead on strong editorial stories, characters and awe-inspiring landscapes.
Landward sits amongst a diverse portfolio in Pacific Quay Productions including Scotland from the Sky, Clans, flagship arts series Imagine (BBC1), This Farming Life (BBC2), Front Row (BBC2), and series such as The Art of Japanese Life and award-winning BBC Two singles such as The Marvellous World of Roald Dahl and The Secret Life of Sue Townsend (Aged 68 3/4).
Further to the attached generic job description, as Production Management Assistant you will report to the Production Manager and will assist in the co-ordination of the Production from filming to final post production paperwork. You will also work across the production base assisting with data management.
In addition the role will include diary management of the Series and Executive Producers as well as the smooth running of the production office.
You will be expected to use BBC Systems for booking transport and accommodation for production teams and crews - full training on these will be given.

- Technical aptitude
- Confident Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Good research skills with regards to sourcing required info to support location filming eg. identifying the specifics and surroundings of planned filming locations, finding relevant hotels, journey planning and route checks, facilitate car hire – generally using ones initiative to ensure, as best possible, the smooth running of location filming days
- A keen interest in specialist factual television
- Must hold a full clean driving licence for this role
