This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious and creative content maker to join BBC WM’s local digital team.
We have a successful social media presence with a particularly strong engagement on our priority platform Facebook.
Our engagement has grown consistently over the past two years and we are looking to continue to build on that success.
We are looking for a talented content producer to make films for SM and develop our relationship with and presence on BBC Sounds.
You will have responsibility to come up with original and engaging content for our social feeds. You’ll be responsible for coming up with the ideas and delivering the treatments that get maximum engagement and push BBC WM’s content to new audiences. You’ll plan, film and edit videos and animations. You’ll also be comfortable producing and presenting Facebook Lives, and you’ll be driven to experiment with new and emerging technology to make sure our social media offering is cutting edge.
You will also work closely with BBC Sounds to ensure BBC WM has a strong presence on this new platform.
Are you the right candidate?
The successful person will be highly ambitious and full of creative ideas. You’ll have experience of producing original content specifically for social platforms. You’ll also be comfortable working with sound and know what makes great radio content.
Excellent knowledge of social media and a deep understanding of how to generate maximum audience engagement is a must. First and foremost you’ll be able to demonstrate huge creative flair and a track record of making your ideas happen on digital.
