Interviews will be held in early May 2021 via Zoom.
Roles will be allocated based on demonstrable skills, knowledge and experience following a written assessment and interview.
Joining our pool will enable you to be offered work as and when opportunities arise during peak business periods across our output in Bristol .
Appointment to the pool will not entitle candidates to permanent contracts in the BBC, those will have to be applied for in the normal way, and neither does it guarantee work.

The Natural History Unit is the world leader in natural history programming. This includes the outstanding landmark Seven Worlds,One Planet, children’s favourites Deadly Dinosaurs and Andy’s Adventures and exceptional live events such as Autumnwatch and Alaska Live.
We're looking for a pool of Edit Assistants to work across any of the genres within BBC Studios, Bristol.
The role requires a technically proficient person with a meticulous attention to detail. You'll be expected to manage your own time efficiently and to work flexibly to fulfil the role. You'll need a friendly attitude and a willingness to work co-operatively as part of a team. You should have the ability to assess priorities and adapt to fast changing circumstances and be able to work under pressure to set deadlines.
You’ll be required to undertake a range of operational duties and to assist Editors and the Post-Production team as and when required. You will establish and maintain a good system of media management and adhere to predefined operational and technical standards.
Are you the right candidate?
Meet the required standard for training in the operation of a range of equipment in use within BBC Studios
Secure offloading and transfer methods for digital media.
Awareness of end-to-end digital workflows.
Experience of a non-linear editor (NLE) in a professional industry environment.
Experience of non standard formats i.e. UHD and non-standard frame rates.
Knowledge of post-production programme making techniques. It is recognised that individuals will attain a high level of skill in one particular area and that individuals fulfilling the role will be scheduled to duties appropriate to their ability.
Experience of working on either film or television productions.
A demonstrable keen interest in film, video and technology skills.
A good general knowledge of the programme making process and must have demonstrated an interest in and experience of post-production.
An awareness of the diverse nature of our audiences and a commitment to diversity in the workplace.
Preparing and delivering selects for BBC Studios Archive.
Acting as a key liaison between the production team and post-production facilities to ensure accurate and timely delivery and tracking of project elements.
