Job Introduction

BBC Studios in Bristol produces a wide range of original, diverse, well-loved and highly acclaimed TV productions such as Blue Planet II; DIY SOS; Antiques Roadshow; Countryfile, as well as Seven Worlds One Planet and Springwatch.

The Production Management Assistant role supports the whole production team so we’re looking for excellent organisational and communication skills, and you’ll be a proactive team player. This is an entry level role that could kick start your career in Production Management!

We want to hear from a diverse range of people with varying levels of experience or transferable skills; you may be new to Television production or looking for the next PMA opportunity in your career.

Candidates who are successful in the recruitment process will be placed in our PMA Pool and that enables us to offer work as and when production opportunities arise across any of our Factual and Factual Entertainment output in Bristol Studios.

Appointment to the Pool doesn’t entitle candidates to permanent contracts in the BBC, those will have to be applied for in the normal way, and neither does it guarantee work.

Main Responsibilities

Providing administrative support to the production team/s in order to ensure the smooth and efficient running of productions during various stages of the process.

Are you the right candidate?

  • Passion and interest in the output of Bristol Studios programming
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A real ‘can do’ attitude
  • A positive team player
